I think I’m being a bit too negative of late, maybe just in general.
Somebody told me years ago that if I were to 'ask the Universe' for what I wanted, then the Universe would deliver.
Well, it certainly didn’t deliver anything into my bank balance, in fact, the opposite happened. Did I ask in the wrong way?
I did ask for some peace, and I’ll have to say that shortly thereafter a very destructive force was removed (or removed itself) from my life. That was a blessing, for sure. Clearly I asked in the right way on that occasion.
Since then, it seems all my requests have fallen upon deaf ears. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
I’m hoping for some security, prosperity, good health for my family and the families of loved ones, and hope for the future.
It seems recently there have been a series of blows……and I’m fast losing faith in the ‘ask the Universe’ stuff.
Any experts out there who are inclined to tell me where I’m going wrong, and help myself and my readers find the ‘right’ way to ask? Because for me, it's just not working.......

Don't believe in bullshit. I'm an atheist. I don't believe in God (there is no proof he exists) and I don't believe bullshit like "ask the universe". There is no mystical force that delivers crap to your doorstep and there is injustice everywhere (bad things happen to good people ALL OF THE TIME). I hate to be the bringer of bad news but there is much beauty in truth. At least I offer truth.
ReplyDeleteYou have to take charge of your life to make things happen. In my situation, no one but myself cares about what's happening in my life. If I have no money...no one is going to care one bit. If I have no health insurance...again no one is going to care. This is reality. This is life.
I sympathize with you in that you have suffered setbacks. You have a choice. You can let them crush you or you can try to minimize the damage by exploring other opportunities you have in your life. But the old adage "Opportunity knocks" is a fairy tale. You have to make it happen.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from people who have 'asked the Universe' and actually seen a positive result. I guess it's all about faith at the end of the day. I'm not religious, I'm agnostic. I do believe that there is a great deal to be said about the power of positive thought. Sometimes it's tough to stay positive when you see pain amongst those you love. I guess in the end it's a personal choice. I'm still open to persuasion though :-)
The universe is not something that can grant anything; you may as well ask a blade of grass! Any event that comes after an asking to something inanimate is merely coincidental.
ReplyDeleteI believe in God, and I ask Him things. But sometimes He says no. Cuz He's wiser than I am (as a parent you wouldn't give your kids EVERYthing they asked for, would you?).
